With 28 meeting rooms, each equipped for
audio conferencing, audio graphics and video conferencing, the Pyle Center at the
University of Wisconsin at Madison is ready for even the most sophisticated distance
learning. Pictured is the facilities largest classroom, with space for 56 students- each
equipped with full data and power connections right at the desktop, Fixed student
microphones, along with four pan, tilt, zoom cameras and dual rear-screen video projection,
provide for automated control of class sessions. At the podium is a document camera and an
installed computer with a flat panel monitor and laptop connections. For distance
learning, instructor cameras and monitors are integrated into the front row, so that
remote students can have the best seat in the house. |
